About IHARC Labs
A small studio with a larger reason to exist.
IHARC Labs is a multifaceted part of the Integrated Homelessness & Addictions Response Centre. It creates space for research, experiments, and revenue-generating products that stay accountable to the work IHARC does in community.
The connection
Labs is not separate from the mission.
It is a way to work on the conditions around the mission: the tools, services, and systems that can make good support easier to sustain.
IHARC’s public work is grounded in the realities of homelessness, addictions, crisis, isolation, and systemic barriers. Labs carries those realities into technology decisions: start with people, keep the claims honest, and make the next step clearer.
Some ideas will remain research. Some may become tools or services. The standard is the same in both cases: useful, respectful, accessible, and worth the attention they ask of people.
