IHARC Labs / practical technology

Build useful things.
Fund useful work.

IHARC Labs is the technology and solutions studio within the Integrated Homelessness & Addictions Response Centre. We investigate ideas that can make community work more useful—and build revenue that can help sustain the mission.

Research is the starting point. Hosting is the first product taking shape.

Why Labs exists

Technology should answer to people, not the other way around.

The problems IHARC works around are human, local, and often complicated by disconnected systems. Labs gives us room to explore tools, document what we learn, and look for sustainable ways to put good work back into the mission.

Our research focus includes the practical details that decide whether a tool is useful in the real world: privacy, accessibility, clarity, and fit with the people and teams who would use it.
